Can you believe how many kittens we have?! Me neither! There are SO MANY that we can't even fit them all online! If you are interested in adopting a kitten please submit an application at fatherjohns.org/adopt/ We are operating on a first approved first served basis. Please understand that in order to speak with our counselors about any specific animals, you must first be approved. The approval process is detailed below. First, if you have existing pets or have owned pets in the last year we need proof that they were/are kept up to date on rabies vaccinations and were/are spayed or neutered. If you do not have these certificates in your personal records, please contact your veterinarian to obtain them; they can email or fax them directly to our facility. Once we receive them, they will be attached to your application for your counselor to review. If your current pet(s) are past due for a rabies vaccination, we will require this to be done prior to your approval. If you need to discuss this matter any further, please reach out to us. Secondly, if you are a renter then you are required to submit your lease agreement that stipulates the permission or restrictions for pet ownership at your residence. This can also be emailed or faxed to our facility. If you are a renter but not under a legally binding lease agreement, whomever the owner of your current residence is must provide a letter with their contact information that explicitly states you have permission to own a pet as a renter of their property. Again, if you need to discuss this matter further please contact us. Once you have submitted the paperwork that pertains to your approval, our counselors will then reach out to you to do over the phone counseling. If necessary, we will then schedule you in for a meet and greet at our facility. If you do not need any paperwork submitted then please email or call the facility to discuss your application further. Chatterbox is the quintessential "Grandma Cat". You may wonder, how did she get her name? Does she talk a lot? Well she may have at some point but now when she meows its just a whisper, Chatterbox has lost her chatter! She does look at you and talk but it is often just her opening her gummy mouth. See, Ms. Chatterbox has no teeth! She had to have them all extracted, but don't feel bad, she is SO much happier now that they are gone. She does have a "stuffy nose" and she snores and breaths funny, but don't worry she doesn't mind. The vet says that its just how she is. She may be almost 12 years old, but this "Grandma Cat" has plenty of life left to warm up your lap with. She is a favorite of staff and volunteers alike for he sweet and silly personality. Snow Pea

Snow pea is a lovely 8 month old kitten who takes a moment or two to warm up to new people, but once she does, she is a complete love! She is very energetic and loves to play with toys, especially when someone is playing with the toy with her. She is great with other kitties, especially calm cats who give her space when she asks for it. She is a very good communicator and will gladly tell you when she wants your attention, or when she doesn't. She is looking for a home without dogs or little kids because they really stress her out! She can't wait to find the perfect family to be her new playmates! Snow Pea has a condition known as Idiopathic Cystitis which is an inflammation and irritation of the urinary tract when stressed out. She does well on normal cat food as long as she is in a low-stress environment at this time, but she may need prescription urinary food in the future. Grayson and Milo BONDED PAIR

Grayson and Milo are a beautiful pair of kittens who are very bonded. Milo needs Grayson and Grayson needs Milo. We are hoping that they can find their perfect home together. Milo is a little shyer, and a little more insecure but he can easily learn to be a confidant cat like his brother with time and patience, he is showing lots of progress here already. Grayson is outgoing and affectionate immediately. He doesn't mind being picked up and loves to be loved on. They would appreciate a quieter home without small kids, but would do fine with respectful older kids or teenagers. With proper introduction techniques we think they will fit into almost any family. They do have a chronic irritation of their eyes/nose that is likely to only flare when stressed. They have had this since they were 5 weeks old, and likely got it from their mom. Geralt is an adorable little kitty, he is only 7 months old or so, and he will make a wonderful house cat. He can be timid at first but easily trusts after a little attention. He is minky soft and loves to get chin scratches. He will likely be much more outgoing in he new home. He has lived with many cats before and is very comfortable in our free-roaming cattery. Meet Ziggy! Ziggy is a great cat who loves to play! He is 2 years old and came to our facility when his owners had to move and unfortunately could not take him and his sister Marley with them. Ziggy is a sweet guy who has been relaxing in the medical departments office for some time. he gets along with everyone who walks in. He loves his sister Marley as well. --+Special needs+-- Ziggy is on special urinary food (Type:SO). His Bladder and Urethra were inflamed because of crystals but was caught fast enough and early enough before any real trouble. Waddles

Munchkin - Domestic Medium Hair

Waddles is a favorite here at the shelter. She has short little Munchkin legs that make her look like she "waddles" everywhere she goes. She loves to be carried around like a baby and get snuggles and affection. She is not a fan of feline companions and would much prefer to be the center of attention. She is very gentle with people and loves to help groom you, when you pet her, she licks you back. She has a medical condition that causes her to form stones or crystals in her bladder. She had surgery to remove the stones that had formed and now she must stay on a prescription food to prevent further stones to form. This is a life-long diet, which can be prescribed by your veterinarian.
